The Lady Barbarians are a U19, high school womens rugby team located in Beaverton Oregon. The Lady Barbarians
were started in 2008 by Freshman Sierra Cutler and Senior Kristen Villatorres.
The Lady Barbarians are a diverse group that currently draws from Beaverton, Southridge,
Aloha, ACMA, Tigard, Hillsboro, The International School of Beaverton, and Westview high schools, and plays in the U19
Rugby Oregon high school league.
The sport of rugby has always been known for its athletisism, teamwork, disipline and sportsmanship both on and off the pitch. The
Lady Barbarians have social events at least monthly, and in the tradition of the game, socialize with their opponents after
each and every game.
The Barbarian
Ladies work together to put the best team on the pitch each week. As a Lady Barbarian, you don't have to be the
best player on the team to make the starting 15. Its the girl that works the hardest, has the best attitude and works
to improve herself that really sets herself apart and make the first 15. The captains watch during practices, take notes,
then on Friday night get together and discuss the starting 15 for the following game. When they agree on the starting
15 they send their line-up to the coaches. The Lady Barbarians not only have to work hard during practice
but also work hard together on and off the pitch.
The TROPHY
we win, is the BLOOD and SWEAT we leave on the PITCH.
